What this site stores on your device, and why you are not being asked to accept anything.

Status In force Last updated 13 August 2026

§1 The short version

This website does not use cookies. It stores nothing on your device and reads nothing from it. There is no tracking, no analytics and no advertising, and nothing about your visit is sent to another company.

That is why you have not been asked to accept anything.

§2 What is stored on your device

Nothing. Below are the ways a website can normally keep something on the device you are reading this on, and what this site does with each.

What this site stores on your device
What a website might store Does this site store it?
Cookies No — none of any kind, first-party or otherwise
Local storage and session storage No — both are left empty
Databases in the browser (IndexedDB) No
Service workers No — none is registered

The club does hold information of its own — page content, and photographs kept on the club’s storage rather than in the page. That is on the club’s side rather than yours, and what happens to it is covered by the privacy notice.

The rule that makes websites ask you about cookies is regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. It applies when a site stores something on your device, or reads something already there. This site does neither, so there is nothing to ask you to agree to.

What the rule asks for instead is that we simply tell you. This page is that.

§4 If analytics is added

There is none, and that was a decision rather than an oversight: the club chose not to measure its visitors at all. No page counts, no visitor numbers, nothing.

If that ever changed, this page would be updated to say what had been added and what it stores, before it started. Anything needing a banner would be a decision for the club to take deliberately — and it is easier to say honestly that nothing is collected than to explain a compromise.

§5 How this is evidenced

The claim on this page is measured rather than assumed. Every page of the site is opened in a real browser, each in its own fresh session so that one page cannot hide behind another, and three things are checked: the browser’s own cookie store, every response from the server for anything that would set a cookie, and the browser’s storage once the page has finished loading.

It is checked against the live site rather than a copy on a developer’s machine, because the two do not always behave the same way — and the difference tends to flatter the copy.

A dated record of every run is kept, so that what was true on the day this page was published can be shown later rather than simply remembered. The most recent run, on 13 August 2026, opened all 28 pages of this site, watched 280 requests, and found no cookies, no stored data, and no requests to any other company’s servers at all.
