What an absolutely fantastic and memorable event for the Dorset Junior chess players. Representing Ferndown Junior Chess Club with great pride and enthusiasm, we had a wonderful team consisting of Advik, Gagan, Austin, Jack, Eden, and Kieran.
Top Positions in all Groups

The highlight and crowning glory of the tournament for Ferndown was undoubtedly Advik, who triumphed by winning outright in the highly competitive U8 group, showcasing exceptional skill and determination.

Not to mention the impressive achievement of Kieran earning a Silver medal in the highly competitive U12 group category.

A Bronze medal proudly won by Gagan in the Under 8 category (U8)

Also a Bronze medal for Eden, who unfortunately missed the presentation, but the medal should have looked like this, showcasing the achievement and recognition earned through hard work and dedication.

Wyatt, Gagan, Eden and Austin before the tournament began

Although Wyatt, Jack, and Austin did not win any medals this time, I am confident that they gained many valuable experiences and benefits from participating in the competition. Their involvement undoubtedly helped them grow and improve in various ways. I wholeheartedly applaud their dedication, hard work, and the personal achievements they accomplished throughout the event.
