NEW! – POOLE CHESS CLUB BEGINNERS’ BACCHUS CHESS TOURNAMENT
-MONDAY 18TH AUGUST 2025
Poole Chess Club is inviting all new chess players to a friendly 10 minute chess tournament, 7.15pm at the Poole Centenary Club, 22 Wimborne Rd, Poole BH15 2BU on Monday 18th August 2025. It will be a very casual evening with no entry fee, but designed for anyone who has joined, re-joined or hoping to join the chess community recently. If you think you’re not ready for competitive chess or a tournament then this is the tournament for you!

Southbourne Junior Chess Club

222 Tuckton Rd, Southbourne, Bournemouth BH6 3AA
This free club meets at Tuckton Social Club between 6pm to 7.20pm on Friday evenings and offers individual expert coaching given by regular coaches Nikki Forster, James Forster, Rachel Richardson & Jack Versey.
Southbourne Junior Chess Club will remain open if there are sufficient numbers.
