Today, 16 very enthusiastic and devoted chess kids came along, bringing a wonderful energy to our session. We focused primarily on playing tournament games, as the end of the term is approaching quickly, and it’s important to get the games played before then. The kids show great dedication and eagerness to improve their skills during these competitive matches.

A very warm and heartfelt welcome to our new beginners, Otis and Iris. I had the opportunity to spend some quality time with Iris, and to my great astonishment, I discovered that she possesses an incredibly brilliant and sharp chess mind. If she continues to nurture and develop her skills with the same enthusiasm and dedication, there is no doubt that she will grow into an excellent and formidable chess player in the future. Keep up the fantastic work, Iris!

Many thanks to Jon Catchpole for taking the time to engage with some rapidly improving juniors, who have the opportunity to learn a great deal from his extensive expertise and valuable experience.

Results from todays games.

Wins today for Michal, Wyatt, Constance, Reyaan, Tishi, Gagan and Eden. Excellent draw between Iris and Kiara.

A special mention I feel is deserved to Wyatt who continues to win most of his games in a quiet and very calculated way. Well done, keep it up!

Michal maintains top spot with Gagan, Advick, Constance, Eden and Tishitha close behind, shown here in the top 12 of the Ladder.

Knockout Chart

Constance continues to move forward confidently in the Knockout competition. Due to the absence of several players who have not been able to attend, I have made the decision to advance certain players by default. This step was necessary in order to ensure that the tournament keeps progressing smoothly and does not face unnecessary delays.
